Old Cow and Its Diversions

Far up the Old Cow off on The Canyon Creek is the original Murphy (now Tocher) ditch diversion to the west.  This is used for various purposes including hydropower.

    

 

Below is the Old Cow with the valley runoff during spring flood just above the powerhouse.

Below is the Old Cow where it is publicly accessible just above the powerhouse.

This bridge marks the furthest extent one can access the creek from public lands.  The creek is publicly accessible again upstream at the the diversion 3 miles upstream, above steelhead access.
