Fencing and stream bank preservation

Animals like to congregate in the cool shade near streams, sometimes wade in stable shallow areas, and generally push bank spoil into the streams. These actions destroy fish habitat and breeding grounds, and lower water quality.

KC LLC is looking for ideas on how we can work with bordering ranchers to provide the water they need, while protecting the stream habitat areas for the fish.

Working on fencing will require the cooperation of bordering land owners.  Some of the revenues from the Kilarc hydro could be used with other sources to enhanse stream protection.
